Krystal Tunnicliffe is an Australian collaborative pianist, based in London.

“Performance and setting, on a two-tier wooden stage, were a delight […] the pianist Krystal Tunnicliffe paid keen attention to nuance and colours […] Debussy described Boulanger’s music as “undulating with grace”. There’s nothing to add to that.” Fiona Maddox, The Guardian.

“Tunnicliffe is, from first listening, an exceptionally gifted and sympathetic player, whose light, flowing touch will endear itself to a host of the next best singers.” Patrick Maxwell, Classical Music Daily.

“Tunnicliffe was a supportive and eloquent accompanist, especially so in Clara Schumann’s ‘Liebst di um Schönheit’ (If you love for beauty), in which the smooth evenness of the vocal phrases was extended in an expressive piano postlude, and in the extended musical storytelling of the composer’s ‘Lorelei’.” Curtis Rogers, Seen and Heard International.

“Krystal Tunnicliffe at an unamplified upright piano valiantly played the accompaniment with its delicate scent of Debussy.” Jim Pritchard, Seen and Heard International.

“The singers were splendidly aided by Krystal Tunnicliffe’s piano […] Tunnicliffe’s playing of the accompaniment was ideally sensitive.” Melanie Eskenazi, Music OMH.

“Tunnicliffe stayed with her every step of the way. We relished their relish.” Martin Dreyer, Charles Hutch Press.

“All credit to the six performers […] managing to produce such a sympathetic account of the music.” Robert Hugill, Planet Hugill.
